Part one of a two-part course
- Part 1: Sunday, June 29, 17.00–20.00
- Hantverkslängan Fjäderholmarna
- Swedish
This workshop is for you who already know how to knit and want to take the next step learning how to make mittens on double-pointed needles, slowly and skillfully.
We’ll use Elmina’s own pattern Kärlek, which combines moss stitch and two-color knitting.
In the first session, we focus on the cuff and shaping the thumb. A few weeks later, we gather again to finish the top, try things on, and learn how to wash and block your mittens so they keep their shape.
This is knitting in the spirit of Swedish folk tradition rhythmic, rooted, and deeply hands-on. Simple tools and natural materials become patterns that carry stories through generations. It’s calm, steady work. A way to connect hands and heart.
We sit by the water with yarn, warm drinks, and something sweet. If it rains, we move inside Elmina & CO’s cozy shop.
